Slow beginnings

On a trip, I tend to eat less, sleep less! It’s good because I get more time to explore. I woke up before 6 and was ready by 7. Everyone else was asleep, so I went out on my own. Walked around the resort, sat in absorbing the peaks’ views by the poolside, played pool with some staff there. Around 8: 30, I had gotten bored, making me realise I am not built for solo trips. Went back to my tent to wake Ishika up. And made her wake up the others. Mere liye to wo sab nahi uthte shaayad, shukr hai breakfast ke liye uth gaye. :p

After breakfast we all got ready and checked out. I picked some flowers as mementos of the lovely stay we had at Coffee Berry Hills. Totally loved the place.. The tent houses, the views .. everything.. So glad someone recommended it to Ishika and we stayed here..

Hoysala Dam

On the way back we first stopped at Hoysala Dam. We could not go to the dam top, so just checked it out from the side rails. There were some water sports here. The only one in which we were likely to stay dry was speed boat, so we contended with that.

Chennakeshava Temple

Next we stopped at Chennakeshava Temple. This time Ishika and Nitin managed to pull Pulkit too. Walking outside on the road alone was far worse than walking inside the temple. Even if you have some 19-21 with God. Common sense prevailed.

And we saw the stone temple. It was a spacious complex. With multiple smaller temples. I like stone structures anyway. So, roaming around this temple was a delight. There was a small kund on the side too with small tortoises/turtles.

Lunch

We stopped for lunch at some place whose name I don't remember.

It was a fine place and the food was okay again.

We ordered noodles (practically pasta noodles), lemon soda, manchurian and some paneer dish. I tasted it all. :p I could just eat curd rice and was not able to finish that too.

I have been a conversation topic a lot of times for my confusing eating habits. So, I am more than used to it now.

Ishika’s Driving

Badi hi mushkil se Nitin agreed to let Ishika drive. After she possibly left no choice for him with her sharp and true monologue.. :p (thoda aur bolti to Pyaar ka Punchnaama waale ko competition de sakti thi.. I was just happy ki I am not the only one at the receiving end of Ishika’s fury. )

I wanted to see Ishika drive. We both have recently learnt to drive finally. So, I understand the importance of staying in practice or driving as much as we can, and clock as many hours as possible. When she said - guys - sab itne khauf mein kyon ho, we all relaxed. Shared some men vs women driving opinions.. And played songs! She drove for around 80 Km.. And it was pretty smooth. She made me proud :D..

Dinner

For dinner, we stopped at a place called Vaibhav Raghavendra. Ishika and Nitin had tried it before and recommended it. The food was fine again. Only there is some gap in North and South Indian dishes. Aloo Puri is actually a version of pani puri. Bhel Puri is served with something looking like hot golgappe ka pani, which kind of makes it edible. All in all, the coffee was good. :p

Back home

The last hour of the drive was when I wished time to stop. I guess all of us did. Trip endings! And Mondays the next day. Pulkit played all kinds of songs and I loved the last leg of the trip as much as I loved the whole of it.  :)
