Mrinal’s mom, Vanita Aunty came to pick us up. She drove. I have a very high respect for people who drive cars. Because I am 28, and I still don’t like to drive. Despite all the benefits it offers, like independence and travelling long routes, weather independence, I have never been able to make a sincere effort to practise. After taking driving lessons twice, I am yet to practise it enough to hit the road on my own..

So, I was impressed when aunty came to pick us up! And she loved driving.
Mrinal’s family stays in a place called “Maurishika Palace”. As the name suggests, it is an apartment complex that gives you palatial feels! And as I was to know further, I was in for more royal experiences!

We reached home– freshened up, took our baths and as unexpected as it was for me – I lost my sleep. I was excited!
Aunty and Mrinal, happen to be foodies.. And I was in for a big hearty meal every day! What more could I have asked for!
Menu
Sandwiches – 3 slice loaded veggie sandwich.. with tea..
Homemade Fruit cake
Reviews
It was a breakfast straight out of Enid Blyton novels!!
It was so amazing . ThatI was sad because given my lousy appetite I could just finish one. And just make a note of the recipe. I am yet to ask for the cake recipe too..
Workation Mode On
Rest of the day, me and Mrinal, we both worked, and chilled. Rested. Ate all the dishes I forgot to record! In the evening we went out for a walk!
And, so ended our first day!
In the evening, I met uncle- Mrinal’s dad. A very cool-chill dad. And a very cool-chill uncle. I knew he was a workaholic. Worked 7 days a week! And liked his work. He is the famous Dr. Anil Kumar of Mangalore. Mrinal and Madhura had a great flex of everyone acknowledging them as– Oh, you are Dr. Anil Kumar’s daughter. -😀
And in the evening he was tired but always in for a conversation! Making people at ease!
#KaalaTeeka One happening thing– Aunty’s missing wallet
After we came back, aunty’s wallet that had her cards and cash went missing. We searched the house and the car but it was nowhere to be found, I was suspicious she might have kept it on the front seat in her car and while we got on and off, it might have fallen somewhere.
Later I was just sitting on the dining table and praying that aunty found it! I didn’t want to be such a misfortune for her on the day I stepped in!
And like Krishna himself came and kept it on the kitchen table in front of me! And just like that we found it!
I have a solid belief now that prayers are answered.
